Schererville board votes against Family Express store.

Family Express has purchased the former Von Tobel location at  751 E U.S. Hwy 30, Schererville, Indiana and plans to open its largest store yet! The development will also feature additional retail and possibly a medical facility. 

Domino's is officially open at  10845 Parrish Ave, Saint John, Indiana.

Former St. John Kmart to become Jewel-Osco

The store is expected to include a drive-through pharmacy, pre-prepared foods and items for take-home to go, a Starbucks in the store, an indoor seating area for dining, and possibly and outdoor dining area.

Plans are anticipated to be submitted to the state by early summer — with construction to start sometime in 2025 around the end of September.

R-Bar is officially moving into the former location of Michels Sports Eatery located at  8209 Wicker Ave, St John, Indiana.

A new 3-story medical center that will provide diagnostic services, doctors, and ambulatory care is in the works.

The new center will be called Franciscan Health St. John Medical Center and will be located on the east side of U.S. 41, just south of 101st Place. 

U.S. 231 between Bell Street and Fathke Road will close on or after Monday, August 12 and will be closed through mid-September.
